7 wonders: Gyro of Rhodes

gyro of rhodes

The Colossus of Rhodes was thought to span two side of the harbor; this little appetizer spans two sides of the Atlantic, joining the Isle of Rhodes with the Island of Manhattan (also the site of the New Colossus — the statue of liberty!). I served small pan-seared pieces of beef (has to be beef, as Helios is the original inspiration) and served them as chalupas with some light salad over fried pieces of tortilla, to melting-pot them up.
