In May of 2012 I had relocated fairly abruptly, and knew that the way to feel at home in my new digs was to cook and have people over as much as possible, and so my studio apartment became the Mishkitchen. In New York cupcakes had been a fad for years already and my gaggle of friends coming over were all big fans of the little treats, but didn’t expect a 5-course cupcake dinner to come with no dessert! 5 of 5 were savory, but 5 of 5 involved actual real baking and not just shaping other foods into a cupcake mold. I also created a proper meal, starting with soup and salad, moving on to fish and poultry, and ending with cheese. Enjoy!
